OVERLAND PARK, KS - Join Kansas City Chiefs’ Will Shields and his wife Senia at Ben & Jerry’s in Overland Park, KS for a free scoop of ice cream, and help their Will to Succeed Foundation ‘sweeten’ the lives of abused, battered and neglected women and children in the Kansas City area.

Ben & Jerry’s will host their 30th Annual Free Cone Day and scoop up free ice cream to all customers who visit their shops worldwide on Tuesday, April 29, from Noon until 8 p.m.

It is a tradition for Ben & Jerry’s shops to support local non-profit organizations through Free Cone Day. The Overland Park shop, located on Metcalf Avenue and 135th Street, has selected the Will to Succeed Foundation as the recipient of this year’s donations. Local ice cream lovers will not only enjoy the delicious flavor of Ben and Jerry’s scoops, but will also experience the sweet taste of giving back to the Kansas City community.

Since there is no charge for the ice cream, patrons are encouraged to donate their savings to the Will to Succeed Foundation. Foundation members will be on site providing information about the Foundation and its programs, and accepting donations.

Created by Will and Senia Shields in 1993, the Will to Succeed Foundation was established for the purpose of inspiring, guiding, and improving the lives of abused, battered and neglected women and children. The Will to Succeed Foundation facilitates numerous programs and gives direct assistance and resources to individuals, families and other charitable organizations.
